Endowed Gifts
The Power of an Endowed Gift on the West Virginia State University Foundation
An endowed gift to West Virginia State University today provides a brighter picture for our future. When you make a donation to our endowment, you give a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits. Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs at WVSU. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support.
An Example of How It Works
Dr. Lateef Y. Saffore and Dr. S.Y. Aranmolate-Saffore worked with the foundation to establish an endowed scholarship that will provide an annual award to a qualifying freshman or transfer student at West Virginia State University. At West Virginia State University, where students and their families benefit from affordable college tuition, the Dr. Lateef Y. Saffore and Dr. S.Y. Aranmolate-Saffore Endowed Scholarship combined with other scholarships, go a long way in ensuring the college experience a reality for many socio-economically challenged families.
